Proposed Facade Visualization

The Catlin Tapestry Collection

The Hilton  Garden Inn in Downtown Sioux Falls is undergoing a transformation as part of its integration into Hilton’s Tapestry Collection. Currently in documentation and phased construction, the project encompasses a comprehensive redesign of the interior, including the 136 guest rooms, corridors, lobby, 7,000-square-foot ballroom, and an updated exterior. Guest room design is being developed in collaboration with Gettys Group in Chicago.

Renovations introduce refined finishes and expand the kitchen to support the hotel, restaurant, and ballrooms. The restaurant patio and ballrooms, located along the riverfront and Big Sioux River Greenway, are being enhanced to strengthen connections between interior and exterior spaces. The building’s facade has been reimagined with a new brick design featuring a relief pattern inspired by woven textiles, creating a tactile, contextual expression while retaining much of the original material palette. The updated facade also accommodates new lighting and signage, reinforcing the building’s presence within its urban setting.
