Mac's Diner

Mac's Dinette reborn in North St. Paul, becoming the go-to spot for the community in a new downtown residential project. Even though it’s part of a new development, the diner keeps a nod to
its past. The project had its share of challenges. The space wasn’t originally meant for a restaurant, and there were issues with trash collection and the quality of the base building. From exploring trash chute solutions to the unexpected replacement of the storefront system, we tackled each thoughtfully during the design and construction phases.

The playful side of this project shines through. We integrated the original neon sign and specified classic diner stools at the bar. The booth seating is inspired by old-school diners, and the tables have a retro touch with metal-trimmed laminate tops. It’s a mix of history and a modern vibe at Mac’s Diner.
